This class will focus on academic discussion of serious contemporary issues connected to issues of technology, philosophy and public policy. You will practice making verbal arguments, taking a point of view and explaining your reasoning.
Topics & issues will come from watching the first season of the American TV drama, Battlestar Galactica. Listening and speaking are emphasized; but other English skills will also be used: writing, reading, and vocabulary will also be important.
